Our Desert Wedding 2021

It was a beautiful day at the beach in Santa Cruz 2008, as groups of friends were all hanging out Ian couldn't take his eyes off a gorgeous, tanned skinned beach babe laughing with her friends. Ian asked around amongst friends and got her name. Ian walked past Lila to say hello and they talked for a brief moment. Later that day Ian went home and logged into Myspace and sent her a message. We ended up hanging out that evening with friends and we both fell for each other, after that Ian asked Lila out for their first official date.

As their lives grew together over the years an ever-lasting connection and bond formed naturally. They shared a lifetime of unforgettable memories in less than a decade. As they began to look down the road into the future the only thing they knew was certain was a life of adventures together. Lila's parents Barbara and Bill Scherer planned a vacation to Kauai with Ian and Lila for summer 2018. Ian knew this was going to be the perfect place to create a special moment in their lives, and to give Lila a ring. The last few days of the trip Ian and Lila went off on their own to enjoy some time on the Napai coast. Lila had no idea of what Ian planned for them and was only told they had a campsite on the beach, only to find out Ian was taking her to the Princeville Resort. They spent their time floating in the ocean and drinking poolside. As sunset came around Ian took Lila for some sunset pictures on the rocks. Little did she know Ian paid a pool boy to capture the big moment on the camera. The moment was surreal, Ian blacked out in excitement and kneeled down with a ring in hand, said some magical words and Lila made Ian the happiest person in the world when she said YES !!

A whole new world of joy came into our lives last year and she is the most incredible precious baby girl we could ever imagine . As new parents and a growing baby were all learning together and enjoying all the special moments Luca brings to our family.
