Airport - PVR

To travel to Sayulita you fly into Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Airport Code - PVR). There are many major airline options to choose from (Southwest, Alaska, United, Delta, American, etc.). Sayulita is located 24 miles north of the airport (45 mins- 1 hour drive). We suggest arranging your ground transportation in advance or use Uber; Airport taxi drivers are notoriously overpriced! It will be around $40 USD / 838 MXN for an Uber from the PVR airport to Sayulita. Although you can rent a car, be advised the town of Sayulita is very small with narrow roads and sparse parking. Sayulita is extremely walkable and accessible (you can cross the entire city in 15 minutes) and you can rent a golf cart in town as well! We do not recommend exchanging your money in the airport as the rates are not typically in favor of the traveler. They are better at the local bank in Sayulita, many places also accept USD or credit cards.

Hotel Note

We highly recommend booking a hotel or Airbnb in the middle of town! We only need to be close to the venue for one day only. All the other days it will be much easier for everyone to enjoy Sayulita if you stay towards the center. Renting golf carts will be helpful the day wedding.

A great option is Airbnb. There are tons of beautiful Airbnb's available in Sayulita if you prefer to go that route. Sayulita is very small however, please note that the wedding venue is on the edge of town so some Airbnb's may be a 15 min walk or more. Be conscious of your location!
