Having spent his entire life in the states, Andrew was always curious about life outside of his bubble. While he enjoyed his beautiful life with his friends and family, a voice deep down (actually might've been his best friend James) told him that there was more for him out there. In search of meaning, in 2019 he decided to move to Singapore as the first step of his journey. Irene grew up in Seoul, and was fortunate to have spent a few years studying/working in Boston and New York. As much as she loved Korea, she embraced every opportunity to make a life for herself in new places. In 2017, she moved to Singapore to begin a new career abroad. Both Andrew and Irene were living life to fullest separately in Singapore, making new friends and traveling to exciting places every weekend. Life couldn't be better, but something felt missing... One hot and humid November night (like every night in Singapore), Andrew was at a bar for a friend's birthday, and his friend Kyle asked if he could join. Unsurprisingly for the social butterfly he is, Kyle shows up with two friends he had just met earlier that day. As Andrew prepares to introduce himself, a hand reaches out and she says, "You're Andrew, I've heard so much about you, I'm Irene". That was the moment Andrew knew this was his soulmate that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He spent the rest of the night and the next few months chasing Irene. Irene eventually caved in to Andrew's crazy love pursuit and finally realized he was the lifelong partner and best friend she never knew she wanted. The two were inseparable, moving in together and spending 24/7 with each other during lockdowns. They even got matching tattoos and engaged after a year.
