Weather

The high desert is unique in it's arid temps. Hot during the day (historical ave high 92°) and very cool after sundown (historical ave low 63°). The best strategy is layers: cover up with light fabrics for sun protection (sometimes long sleeves are better than no sleeves), rock retro shades (sun glasses, big floppy hats, parasol), and warm layers for cool starry nights (light jacket or shawl).

AirBnB is the way to go in Pioneertown. Lots of great options that can accommodate large parties. Search "Pioneertown" and "Rimrock" for properties near by. You can also find great places in Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and 29 Palms, but they will be further away from our venue. Please consider making reservations early. Many places will book as September is a popular month for desert weddings.

The cutest desert motel you will ever find, located right in between the famed Pioneertown western movie set and next door to Pappy & Harriet's. Be sure to book early if you wish to stay here. This is a boutique motel with only 19 rooms which book fast during high seasons. The shuttle to wedding venue will pick up next to the motel at the Pioneertown Post Office parking lot.

Shuttle to Venue

September 21, 2019 4:30 pm - 12:45 am

Two shuttle pick-up locations: 1) Best Western Hotel in Yucca Valley 56525 Twentynine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley, CA 92284 2) Pioneertown Post Office Parking Lot - where you may park your car (be sure to not park on the street) 53441 Mane St, Pioneertown, CA 92268 Shuttle runs will begin at 4:30 and continuously loop with the final Best Western pick up at 5:30 and the final Post Office pick up at 5:40. Should you miss the shuttle you can call the local taxi company, 760-660-9115 or lyft/uber (please be mindful that they are on Pioneertown time...) Each shuttle can accommodate 24 people and will fill on a first-come, first serve basis. Return: Starting at 10:15 the shuttles will make the same continuous loops every 30/40 minutes bringing folks back. The last shuttle will be at 12:45, unless we continue the party all night long, which is possible. If, for whatever reason, you miss the last shuttle (don't panic) you will be able to call a taxi/uber/lyft to pick you up.

Directions to the Venue 5505 Hakataya Drive, Pioneertown, CA 92268

Please don't rely on GPS for directions. (GPS routes to east end of Skyline Ranch Road which is blocked by private gates.) Please use and PRINT out these directions as cell service is limited. Directions from Yucca Valley, Hwy 62: Take Pioneertown Road north to Skyline Ranch Drive. (As soon as you see the wooden sign for Pioneertown, hit the brakes!) Turn right, and proceed 1.7 miles to Hakataya. Turn left at the large stone monument sign for Hakataya Drive. Proceed to the end of the road. There is limited space for parking on site, if you drive, please carpool with friends and family. We are providing shuttles - please check back for updated info.
