National Mall

The Grand Hyatt is a 15 minute walk from the National Mall which stretches all the way from the U.S. Capitol to the White House to the Lincoln Memorial. There are a ton of free museums such as the Natural History Museum, Air and Space Museum (requires advance reservation), Hirshorn Museum, African American History Museum (requires advance reservation), and American History Museum. There are also a bunch of memorials to explore such as the Washington Monument, Vietnam War Memorial, WWI Memorial, and WWII Memorial.
