It was 2017 and Ian and Steph were both swiping along on Tinder. After lots of left swiping, they came across each other's profiles and swiped right. It was a match! It had to have been Ian's clever pickup line, "I'm not sure how this works. I think we're married now?" that swept Steph off her feet. A few weeks later they had their first date on election night at the Holy Hound and the rest was history. They of course knew full well that's not how the app worked but, little did they know they would be tying the knot four years later to the day.
After months spent in quarantine, Ian and Steph knew they had to move out of their one bedroom apartment and decided to take the leap and build a home together. Ian had been planning a proposal and this created the perfect opportunity. While COVID presented challenges for Ian, he was able to find the perfect ring online and daringly had it delivered to their apartment. He obtained Steph's parents blessing virtually and without hesitation. What Steph thought was a going to be a day spent showing some family and friends the land they were building their home on, turned into a surprise proposal on the exact spot their front porch would sit. She was completely surprised. It was a simple yet very special day.
