This quaint and picturesque seaside burg is surrounded by water on three sides (Discovery Bay, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Admiralty Inlet), and enjoys stunning views of both the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. On a clear day the majestic Mt. Ranier can be seen standing tall and proud to the east and the equally impressive Mt. Baker to the north. With access to all of that water (as one might imagine), Port Townsend has an enthusiastic boating community with a rich and colorful maritime history making it a boater’s paradise and gateway to the Puget Sound, beautiful San Juan Islands and beyond.
