A pretty remarkable part of our story is that we both have ties to Liberia, West Africa. My (Princess’s) family is Liberian and Ian’s family are missionaries to Liberia so he grew up where I’m from. And we just happened to meet at church in Greenwood, Indiana! Because Liberia is such a huge part of both of us, we hope to include some elements of Liberian culture within our day. Part of this will be an African themed entrance for us as we are announced for the reception. There will be lots of music and dancing and if you would like to bring some dollar bills to throw around, please feel welcome but know it is not a requirement! We hope you join in and celebrate with us!
Dress is semi-casual. We would love to see you in black or shades of gold / green! Please keep in mind that weather permitting, the ceremony is outdoors and the reception will be indoors.
Cocktail hour : Charcuterie spread & barbecue meatballs. Dinner : Salad, Liberian Jollof Rice (African fried rice) and ribs.
