Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Fly into Incheon International Airport (ICN). It is approximately 1–1.5 hours from central Seoul.

Question

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

Answer

Airport Bus (~$12 / ₩17,000): This is the most convenient choice. You can buy tickets at the automated kiosks in the Arrivals/Departure area. Your ticket will specify a Bus Number and a Platform Number so you know exactly where to board outside. AREX Airport Train: The fastest rail option into the city center. Taxi/Uber (~$40–$60 / ₩60,000–₩90,000): While Uber works, it is significantly more expensive and often less convenient than the airport bus due to traffic.

Question

What are the entry requirements for South Korea?

Answer

Most guests (US, UK, EU, Canada, etc.) do not need a visa for short stays. You will simply fill out a standard Arrival Card upon landing at the airport. No health entry codes are required.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in one of these three areas. For the best value, look for "Guesthouses"—they offer private rooms at a much lower price point than standard hotels. 1. Myeongdong (The Central Hub) The best base for first-time visitors. Central, great shopping, and easy transport. Luxury: Le Méridien Seoul, Myeongdong (~$300+ / ₩440,000+) Mid-Range: Lotte City Hotel Myeongdong (~$150 / ₩220,000) True Budget: Namsan Guesthouse (~$42 / ₩62,000) or Hotel Park Hill Myeongdong (~$75 / ₩110,000). 2. Gwanghwamun & Insa-dong (Palaces & Culture) The historic heart of Seoul, near the main palaces and traditional tea houses. Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun (~$180 / ₩265,000). A polished, very popular business hotel. Mid-Range: AMID Hotel Seoul (~$110 / ₩162,000) True Budget: Hostel Chloe (~$45 / ₩66,000) or Soo Song Guest House (~$51 / ₩75,000). 3. Gangnam (Near the Wedding Venue) The wedding is located here. Gangnam is a high-end district and business center. It is less "touristy" than the city center but great for a short commute on the wedding day. Luxury: Josun Palace, Seoul Gangnam (~$450+ / ₩660,000+) Mid-Range: Shilla Stay Samsung (~$140 / ₩205,000) True Budget: Yeoksam Amare (~$48 / ₩70,000) or Hotel the Castle Sincheon (~$51 / ₩75,000). Note: October is peak foliage season. We recommend booking early via Agoda or Booking.com to lock in these rates.

Question

How do I get around Seoul?

Answer

The Subway: The Seoul Metro is world-class. It is incredibly clean, safe, and efficient. Most people prefer it over taxis to avoid Seoul's famous traffic. Navigation: Google Maps is not reliable in Korea. Please download Naver Map or KakaoMap for accurate walking and transit directions.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Business casual, but don't worry, Korean weddings don't typically have a strict dress code. Please avoid wearing white or ivory.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3:00 PM. Please arrive 20–30 minutes early to find your seat.

Question

What is the custom for wedding gifts?

Answer

In Korea, the tradition is "Congratulatory Money" in a white envelope. While we will have a desk for this at the venue, please do not feel obligated! We have also set up a Zola Registry on this website if you would prefer to give digitally instead.

Question

What’s the weather like in October?

Answer

It’s the best time to visit! Expect mild, sunny, and comfortable days. We recommend a light jacket for the cooler evenings.

Question

Is Seoul safe?

Answer

Very safe, even for solo travelers late at night.
