The summer of 2015, they met through a mutual friend. They stayed in touch throughout high school, staying acquaintances for years...they had a few awkward dates and always felt like maybe the time wasn't right, but the connection was always there. It was something they both wanted to make work some day. In November of 2023 she reached out to say Happy Thanksgiving. They kept talking and next thing they knew they were officially together on January 2, 2024! It was fast and it was a fun and they were ready. They spent every waking moment they could together, they were completely inseparable and entirely enamored with one another. By spring 2024 they were talking about engagement rings, baby names, dream homes and retirement plans. They agreed, when you know, you know. And they knew. There was never a doubt, they knew they wanted to be together for the rest of their lives. On their one year anniversary they went on a trip to the upper peninsula. A week of just to two of them in a cozy cabin in the woods. And while playing a card game, at about 2am on January 2 2025, he proposed. The ring hadn't even come in the mail yet, and she said yes! They took things slower from there, while they dealt with health issues and self growth. They took time to just be engaged and be together and enjoy their relationship. Little did they know how hard 2025 would be... But they over came, of course. And now they knew it was time, let's plan a wedding in a year and get married!
