How We Met

4/19/17

From the Bride's perspective: I was hired as a cashier at REI and on the first day of training it was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING in the store so on my break I decided to buy a sweatshirt. While I was waiting in line, I looked over and saw a striking fella at the Customer Service desk. Luckily for me, the customer in front of me had about a million and a half things going on so I was called over to be checked out at customer service. From that day on, I referred to that fella as "the hot guy from work." We worked together for a year before I harassed him into being my friend. From the Groom's perspective: Full disclosure, I don't remember meeting on the day Lindsay does. I remember meeting her on one of her first days of work, when I was training/shadowing a few new hires on the registers. Lindsay was easily the quickest to pick it up of all of them, and I remember she had a great sense of humor.

How Our Relationship Started

February 2018

From the Bride's perspective: I had developed a bit of a crush on "the hot guy from work" and one day I asked him if he had one of our coworker's phone numbers. As he was giving it to me, I suggested he also give me his while I was at it. He did. I added him as a friend on social media. He got a promotion and was being transferred to another department so I sent him a gif of Lauren Conrad crying that said "when that one coworker that makes work bearable leaves" and thus igniting the outside of work conversations. I relentlessly flirted with him until he decided it was a good idea to just hang out with me. I told myself I just really wanted to be his friend, but the universe had other plans. I don't think a day has gone by where we haven't talked since that GIF was sent. From the Groom's perspective: Lindsay and I only worked together once in a while, since I worked a lot of days and she worked mostly closing shifts, but I always really enjoyed working with her. We ended up going to see a movie with a group of mutual friends a couple of times, and both times I made sure we just happened to end up sitting next to each other. I liked being around her a lot, but wasn't really sure exactly how I felt yet. We didn't end up hanging out or talking to each other anymore after that, until a couple months later when she asked for a coworkers number and used that as an opportunity to get my number as well. Luckily she sent me that GIF when I got promoted, because we started talking every single day and I quickly realized I never wanted to stop talking to her. A couple weeks later I told her I was all in, and I have been ever since.

For all the days along the way
