We met at Oklahoma Christian University in 2019. At the time, I was a freshman and Ian was a sophomore. I was in a study room working on my graphic design project, when Ian came into the room and started visiting with me. Shortly after meeting, we started dating, which led to our eventual engagement and upcoming marriage.

Ian and I went to lunch with our close friends, Hannah and Weston. After lunch, we went on a walk through Hafer Park. Hannah was pretending to take some snapshots with her phone, but really, she was videoing the moment. Ian dropped down on one knee and proposed. Even though Ian and I had been talking about the engagement, the timing of the proposal was a surprise to me. It was fun to share that special moment with our good friends.
