Ian has always been a big part of Klaudia’s family. He was her cousin, Greg’s, first friend in 2nd grade and they have been friends since then. Ian and Klaudia started dating in 2013, which is also the year that they decided to go on their first road trip together to Nashville and visit Mammoth Cave along the way. Towards the end of 2014, they decided to quit their jobs and take a month long Euro Trip then make the biggest move of their lives and relocate to Florida in January 2015. Their 8 years together have been full of adventures and love along with fostering new and old friendships, and building out the foundation of their future. They also added a third member of their family, a rescue dog and named her Nala.

Fast forward to October 2019 and their latest trip to Poland, Ian decided to finally pop the question. Being the thoughtful man that he is, he proposed in Klaudia’s grandparents property with her family there to witness. Klaudia will never forget the car ride back from Sandomierz (a town in Poland that they went to visit the morning of). As Klaudia was driving them back to her grandparents home, she noticed that Ian was breathing really heavily and she finally asked him, “What is going on with you?”. He swiftly answered, “I’m just breathing in the fresh country Polish air”, as he turns his head towards the open window. Now, Klaudia knows he was breathing so loudly because he was nervous. Well played Ian, well played. She would also like to note here that they ended up driving 30 minutes in the wrong direction heading to the wrong town this entire time. Ian was so nervous because Klaudia’s aunt, mom, and grandma were setting everything up in the yard and it was getting late. In the end, it all worked out and Klaudia was still surprised. Every experience that the couple has had just reconfirms how their lives have played out together. Their life has been one big adventure and it will continue to be so.
