Our wedding is the same weekend as the Fall Block Party in Ocean City! This event is held in the downtown area on Asbury Avenue. It transforms the shopping district into a lively hub of local culture, food and entertainment. The streets fill with vendors offering everything from handmade crafts to delicious local treats. Block Party is held only on Saturday starting at 9am between 6th Street and 14th Street. Start your morning off with some Ocean City fun before heading to the wedding.
Enjoy a stroll or bike ride on the beautiful Ocean City boardwalk! The boardwalk offers two miles of food, shops and amusements! It's the place to be for the ultimate Jersey Shore experience! Block Party weekend is the perfect time to take advantage of many end-of-season boardwalk sales. If you're interested in tasting some of the local favorites, check out Jonhson's Popcorn, Shriver's Candy and Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard. It's an ideal way to spend time with family and friends before the wedding festivities begin.
If you are new to the area and visiting for the full weekend, we highly recommend checking out Cape May! This town is about 35-40 minutes from Ocean City. Washington Street Mall offers boutique shopping, local cafés and delicious restaurants. Some of our favorite places to eat & drink are Port Marina and Restaurant, Harry's Ocean Bar and Grille and Congress Hall. Just outside of Cape May you will find many wineries and breweries. Some of our favorites are Cape May Winery, Hawk Haven Winery, Willow Creek Winery and Cape May Brewery. We hope you enjoy your stay in and around Ocean City!
