It was important to us to keep such a huge moment true to what marriage is about: just the two of us. We’re so happy we got to soak it all in during these last few months privately and peacefully and now are going to enjoy sharing it with you all.
Yes, but we’re both pretty impatient people (shocker, I know). We initially planned to elope and then host a big shindig with you all the following year but we have a lot going on and coming up soon and the idea of planning such a big event was becoming stressful. We’re sorry for all of you who looked forward to it but hey, just come visit us!
Some of Ian’s immediate family and Chev’s best friend came to Southern California to serve as guests/witnesses to the elopement. Afterwards there were cheers of champagne with cake and a wonderful dinner. We then had a mini honeymoon with photoshoot in Joshua Tree months later. It was easy going and full of love and laughter just like our relationship has been from the very beginning.
Much to Chev’s displeasure, no.
No, we’ve decided to focus on buying a home. So YAY on no one having to worry about flights, PTO and finding a pet sitter for our big day. However you are welcome to visit us any where we are next. We can’t wait to see you!
