Cecily & Ian

Ian & Cecily's engagement story: 

Ian's family came to visit Carlsbad, CA where Ian and Cecily lived at the time and during a family picture, Ian got down on a knee. Cecily thought Ian was volunteering them to be the bottom of a human pyramid but then realized what was going on. Only a couple people in the picture knew this was going to happen, as you can probably tell from the sequence of photos, but it went perfectly and everyone's reactions are priceless! 

Luckily, Ian's cousin and our officiant, Joe, happened to have his drone ready to capture the moment - Ian only gave him a 5-minute heads-up. Ian's mom, Jill, picked up the ring a few hours before at a nearby jewelry store where employees referred to the ring as "the diesel ring" since Ian had Cecily's nickname, Diesel, engraved on the inside of the ring.
