Arriving at 5:00PM gives you the best shot at snagging a coveted aisle seat for the ceremony. You'll also have ample time to sign the guestbook as well as take pictures with relatives and newfound friends.
For the welcome celebrations: Bring out your smart, casual, and fun fits. Think slightly more elevated than jeans and a t-shirt. Leave the crocs and socks at home (you know who you are). For the ceremony: Cocktail attire is requested, but shoes you can dance in are a must! Keep in mind, the ceremony and reception will be entirely outdoors. Given the warmer climate, consider dressing as if you were at a late spring/early summer wedding: light fabrics, bold color and funky patterns are all welcome.
October weather in New Orleans varies. Historically, temperatures have ranged from the high 60's to low 80's. We're trying our best to manifest sunny, 70 degree weather for the special day. But just in case that doesn't pan out, make sure to pack a variety of options.

There will be a shuttle service from the venue to the Le Pavillon hotel after the reception from 10:15 PM to 1 AM. Please note that transportation to the venue is not provided, so we recommend planning ahead to ensure you arrive comfortably.
There is limited street parking available near the venue. Traveling without a car? Take advantage of the public transportation options near the hotel! The #12 streetcar line and #11 bus both have drop-off points near Race & Religious.
As much as we love all the little ones, we ask that this event be adults only. Need to travel with your child? Let us know if you'd like us to look into group babysitting options at the hotel.
Instead of a formal seated dinner, expect heavy passed items, open action stations and buffets. Food will be served all night long, so you can try everything all at once or graze throughout the evening. Given the dynamic, social atmosphere, there will be no assigned seats at this event. Feel free to start dancing right after the second line or go straight to the buffet -- no judgement here!
