Mr & Mrs Liunson? Where'd that come from, and how is it pronounced?

Answer

Great questions!! Liunson is pronounced "Loon-son". We decided that we wanted to create a new last name that represented us both equally and signified our new life together moving forward. We tinkered around with different ways we could combine Ian's Asian heritage with Brenna's Scandinavian heritage and realized we had the answer right in front of us... Ian's mother's maiden name is Liu. Brenna's mother's maiden name is Nelson. Combine the two: Liunson! We absolutely love it and all of the meaning behind it and are so excited to share this new last name together.

What are your wedding plans?

Answer

We are getting married in Key Biscayne, FL with just a few guests. However, stay tuned for more information on our MN celebration with all of our friends and family!

What are you guys up to?

Answer

Currently, Ian is working on his Master's degree in computer science with the end goal of becoming a software developer. He is also volunteering his expertise in development to a non-profit company and a server at a sushi and hibachi restaurant. Brenna is a registered nurse at Mayo Clinic in the stress/echo lab. We live together in Rochester, MN with our dog, Bentley, and two cats, Miso and Soup! We love our little family. To stay busy, we both love to read, play card and board games, hang out with family and friends, and try new foods in the kitchen!
