Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available at the Hanover Country Club with plenty of space! The wedding will be outside and reception will be inside.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We are asking that all guests wear something from Casual to Dressy Casual. We aren't that picky. We just want you to come celebrate with us! CASUAL: For the Ladies A summer sundress is appropriate (just make sure the fabric isn't overly formal). Wedges or dressy sandals are perfect footwear for a casual wedding, but sandals and sneakers are not. For the Men Wear dress pants or khaki pants with a collared shirt. You can add a tie or sport jacket if you'd like, but it's not required. If it's chilly, feel free to add a sweater as well. DRESSY CASUAL: For the Ladies Try a cocktail dress or a dressy skirt and top. An elegant pantsuit is also appropriate. Floor-length gowns would be inappropriate. Pair with heels, nice wedges or elegant flats. Note: If the ceremony is being held outdoors, and you'll be walking across lawn, avoid traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass! For the Men Men should wear a suit and tie, dark or light depending on the time of day.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course, they are! Of their name is on the RSVP, they are most definitely invited and we want everyone to feel welcome! If we forgot anyone, please let us know!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are trying to keep the wedding to family members and a very few select friends. If the invitation is only addressed just to you, you can assume that a plus one is not included. Please contact Bree or Ian if you have any questions.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel recommendations will be provided in the travel section as soon as we compile one. Please let us know if you have any concerns in terms of being grouped with certain people if that would make travel easier.

Can we take pictures with our phones?

Answer

While we will not stop you from capturing special moments for yourself, we do ask to be kind and aware that there will be a photographer going around. Please don't interrupt them. Also, please be courteous during certain moments where phones should not be out.

Are there travel options to and from wedding if I don't have a car?

Answer

There are certainly options available. While Ashland isn't a huge town, there are Lyft and Uber services available. If you are uncomfortable using these services, we can arrange a family member to drive you to and from wedding. Please be aware, as parents will be busy on the day, that if this is the option you'd prefer, please let Bree and Ian know as soon as you can.

What airport should I fly into if I need to fly?

Answer

We would personally recommend Richmond International Airport if that is an option. RIA is only about 20-30 minutes away from Ashland/Glen Allen where the hotels and Wedding venue are. If you need to fly into Washington D.C. just keep in mind the two airports there are roughly two hours away and it may be harder for family members to pick you up if you need transportation.

What's Virginia weather like in late-June?

Answer

Our wedding will take place the day after the summer solstice so while it won't be as hot as July or August, one should still expect mid-80s if it is sunny. Remember the wedding is held outside and the ceremony will be inside so please plan accordingly.

If I'm not invited to wedding pictures an I still get pictures with the bride and groom?

Answer

Of Course! We would both love to do pictures with whomever wants some. We will also be sending pictures of the bride, groom, and bridal party out to anyone who would like copies. The wedding pictures invitation is simply for parents, grandparents, and bridal party to do pictures before the reception.
