Wedding Party

Lacey Peterson

Maid of Honor

There is no better friend then a sister and no better sister than Ashley. Ashley is one of the greatest gifts my heart will ever know, and she is a piece of my childhood that can never be lost. Having an amazing sister like Ashley means to me that I will always have a best friend that will never go away and will always be there no matter what. Together we have shared laughter and tears. She's my sister, best friend, my soul mate, and the best part of me. Love you ash <3

Meghan Trandahl

Bridesmaid

Obviously the coolest person in the wedding party, aside from the bride herself. ;P Meg is a vibrant, bold person, who loves fiercely and is always supportive of her friends passions. She and the bride share a love for most things fandom, and is a great person to geek out with. <3

Bria Cameron

Bridesmaid

I met Ashley in Disciple Internship & bonded over geek stuff, but grew closer when we both sobbed our eyes out while watching Infinity War. We also give each other nice hugs.

Kait McGowen

Bridesmaid

The first time I met Ashley and Lacey they were playing with a flat basketball in the dead of winter. I was 8. We had just moved; they were my new neighbors and soon to become life long friends. From playing on the trampoline to having coffee dates, Ashley has always been someone I could count on. She radiates love and has one of the most contagious laughs around. Growing up with her and watching her turn into the amazing woman she is now has been such a blessing. I’m so excited for her as she starts this next chapter of her life and honored to be celebrating with her.

Erin McGowen

Bridesmaid

I met Ashley about 14 years ago when my family moved in next door to the Peterson’s. We were fast friends and spent our entire childhood adventuring and finding trouble! (Along with Lacey and my sister Kait of course) Ashley has been a constant positive and joyful influence in my life, I’m so excited to see her start an exciting new chapter of her life!

Ben Anthony

Best Man

I met Ian when he came to my house for a New Year's Eve party, and we immediately realized we had the same sense of humor. We started talking a lot, hanging out, and playing video games and board games. We spend many long nights playing games into the early morning, only to do it again a few days later. Those long nights of hanging out, talking, and laughing lead to my sweet papoose, Ian, and my strong friendship. I wish him and Ashley the best and can't wait to be a part of this amazing and important step in their lives.

Some say that fate brings people together. That may well have been the case as I entered Schlotzsky’s on a warm summer evening in Ruidoso, NM. There he was, Ian, a quiet man whose eyes spoke of adventure. And so began a summer of service, ridiculous costumes, and crazy exploits at Lone Tree Ranch. I remember spending late nights playing Settlers of Catan, watching the extended Hobbit movies, dressing as hillbillies, hammocking under the stars, and riding digglers down the Capitan Gap. Yup… those were the days… *sits back in my rocking chair on my future porch as the sun sets* Then, one fateful evening, Ian pulled me aside and began to ask about UNM. Now, of course, I jumped at the opportunity to talk him into moving to New Mexico because I needed a little more of him in my life.

Since that day, Ian and I have shared many adventures between our service with the youth ministry at Grace, long nights in the Vault of Glass alongside the greatest Spaceteam Lone Tree Ranch had to offer, hours upon hours sitting around a table playing Risk, MageKnight, Joking Hazard, and Coup, and countless more hours at Dion’s discussing Game of Thrones and Overwatch. When Ian decided to return to Minnesota, it was a bittersweet moment. On one hand, it felt like i was losing a friend, but on the other hand… I no longer had to share the title of Grace Church’s “Most Eligible Bachelor”. In all seriousness, Ian is an awesome friend and I am honored to be one of the tall, blonde, white guys standing beside him at his wedding and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for him.”

Ian and I have been friends since high school. We met through a mutual friend of ours and ever since then we have had so many crazy memories together. One of these memories, I will never forget, is the time I decided to throw a grape at him from roughly 50 feet away. I nailed him straight in the middle of his forehead. The look in his eyes was priceless! For as long as I've known him, Ian has always had a great sense of humor and has always made me laugh due to his silliness. I am so excited for both Ian and Ashley as they start the next chapter of their lives together.
