In a world… where 2 people go to the beach… wait, scrap that. I was running down the beach just before dawn, like I always do, when I see what seems to be a beautiful mermaid struggling in the water. Without thinking, I instantly shed my clothes and dive into the angry sea. When I reach her, I notice she's not a mermaid at all. It’s Drea, out for her daily swim at dawn. And she’s not struggling either, she’s fighting off a frenzied school of great white sharks. Together we fight off the sharks with tenacity and valor that would impress even the greatest heroes throughout history. Once the battle had ended, our eyes met. We stared deeply into each others souls as Drea swam over to me. We’re about to embrace, when Drea reaches back as if to throw a punch. I see a blur of well-manicured nails fly by my head. She wasn’t aiming for me, but a shark I neglected to subdue… one that was about to maim me. The shark flies some yards back as Drea winks at me, and says “you missed one.” I smile. As we make our way to the shore, I try to work up the courage to ask her to join me on a hike to the top of Mount Everest… or a safari to deepest parts of the Congo… or coffee. Before I can speak puffs of smoke appear. As the smoke clears we see that we’re surrounded by the fabled Eskimo Ninja clan looking for blood. Simultaneously, we say “You guys, AGAIN?” We look at each other and chuckle… I won’t bore you with the rest, but that’s how we met. Or maybe… just maybe… we met online… Which story is true?
