It all started in 2018 at a Christmas party—one Ian definitely was not supposed to be at. Luckily, Abbe (very reluctantly) let him in… and somehow, that decision worked out pretty well. Ian’s attention was first caught by a girl in a light-up dreidel shirt (hard to miss, honestly), and the two hit it off right away. A few days later, they went on their first date at a bar to play pool. Ian won… repeatedly… and, for the record, did not let Abbe win even once. Still, they stayed for hours, and it was clear this might turn into something. Over the next few years, “something” turned into everything. In 2021, Abbe moved to Grenada for medical school, and the two took on long distance like pros. Ian became Abbe’s constant support system—keeping her sane through exams, stress, and everything in between (no small job). In 2023, Abbe moved back, and the two started their next chapter in New York City with their very spoiled and very loved dog, Bella. In 2025, Ian proposed—officially locking things in after years of Christmas party crashes, pool game losses, long distance, and a whole lot of love.
