The ceremony and reception will be taking place at The Edge, in Lincolnville, Maine. The venue is directly next to The Inn at Ocean’s Edge (in fact, The Edge was once part of the Inn). If you’re staying at the Inn, it’s just a short stroll and you will not need to drive.
The ceremony will begin at 4pm. We would recommend arriving around 3:40pm to give yourself plenty of time to park, run to the restroom, and take your seats! Reception will begin directly after the ceremony.
The dress code for our wedding is formal or black-tie optional. If you’d like to wear a tuxedo, please do but it certainly is not required. A floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit are all welcome! Please keep in mind that the ceremony and reception will be held on grass so opt for footwear that you’ll be comfortable in.
Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but as they say in Maine, if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute! Average temperature in July is a beautiful 70°F. We’ll be right on the ocean so it could be breezy. Keep an eye on the weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and have your umbrella ready.
The wedding will take place outdoors under a tent. There is a small indoor seating area and the bathrooms are located indoors.
After the ceremony, the wedding party and immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures. Guests will simply walk to the patio area from the ceremony site where cocktail hour will begin! Drinks will be flowing and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Dinner will be served around 6pm, with dancing to follow.
Yes! We will be providing transportation to and from the venue for anyone staying in Camden through Lincolnville. Pick up time for Mount Battie Inn is at 3:30pm. Pick up time for The Lincolnville Motel is at 3:40pm. There is space for 20 cars at the venue parking lot, 20 more cars can park in the upper lot at the Inn and there is an additional lot for 100 cars across from the entrance of the Inn/Venue. If you park in this lot, there will be about a 5 minute walk to the venue. Shuttles will begin to depart after the reception at 10pm.
Yes! We’ll be having a welcome event downtown Camden on Friday around 7pm and we would love to see you there! This will be fun and casual event to meet and greet everyone attending the wedding. We recommend grabbing an early dinner downtown somewhere and then making your way over to the event. It will be the busy season in Camden so if you plan to go out to dinner, we would encourage you to make reservations sooner rather than later!
We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day. With your invitation, there is an RSVP card that you can fill out and return. We kindly ask that you RSVP by June eleventh.

We’ll be serving light snacks during cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner, and of course dessert.
