We met at church in December in our college life group after Ian got back from his mission at YWAM. It took awhile for Ian to FINALLY get hit with the love bug... but from that point on, God moved things along quickly! We went on our first date on March 22nd which was a picnic lunch at Baskett Slough. The day was filled with a ton of awkwardness from Emma's side including spilling everything possible on her but for some reason, Ian stuck around. The very next day the stay at home mandate went into place for COVID-19 so we had to get creative. We reverted to phone calls until things calmed down more. With a little confusion as to whether or not we were actually in a relationship, we finally made it official! It has been a roller coaster of ups and downs with quarantine and the natural learning curve that happens with dating but we have been taking each step as it comes. After only a short amount of time, we just knew that God was leading us to get married. It just came down to figuring out the logistics of making that happen. After five months, Ian proposed on September 1st with a memorable scavenger hunt which ended on a bridge that we have walked many a time. It was simple and perfect! Now most people would wait longer to get married but we felt Christmas was the most magical time for a wedding. We both love the holiday season and the pieces just fell into place. We are very excited to get to celebrate our special day with you! :)
