McEuen Park offers a grassy lawn and a trailhead for adjacent Tubbs Hill. The lakeside City Park & Beach includes picnic areas and a playground. The Museum of North Idaho traces regional history, including the city's former timber industry.

There are only two rules at Flatstick Pub: drink local and have fun. Flatstick, founded by two Spokane locals (that went to high school with Ian), was inspired by an idea to create a casual beer focused pub that featured a unique and challenging miniature golf course.
