Our Story...

October 2015

Our story begins in October of 2015 as part of a group of mutual friends who would get together and cook for each other every weekend. After a few dinners, it was clear that we had some serious chemistry! Everyone saw it and began cheering for the start of a great love story. After a short few weeks, we began seeing each other exclusively, conquering the remainder of our college and athletic careers together. In August of 2016, by mutual agreement, we decided that after Braydon graduated the following May, he would move back to Alaska - resulting in an inevitable break up. I know what you are all thinking: A forbidden love story was just about to unfold! Between August and the end of May, amazing times were had and memories were made, but eventually June was upon us. We traveled up to Alaska one last time as a couple and to help Bray move, only to go our separate ways and move on with our lives... or so we thought. Separating was like ripping apart the strongest adhesive. We knew it felt wrong, but it was something that had to be done. Trying to remain apart proved impossible. Time and time again, fate reminded us that we were made for each other. After a few months of torture, we decided to resume our relationship in September of 2017. We knew that 2,473 miles was a long gap between the two of us, but no amount of distance could keep us apart — it only made us stronger! We were thrilled when October 2018 came about and Braydon moved back to Colorado. After more than a year apart and a lot of soul searching, a deeper bond was formed and a greater appreciation of our time together was developed. We had several amazing adventures during our long-distance relationship, including 2 amazing trips throughout Alaska. During our final trip to Alaska in May 2018, Braydon asked for my hand in marriage on the beaches of Homer, Alaska. We are excited for you to join us as we vow to love each other for life in June 2020 and begin another chapter in our story.
