It all began in 2018 near downtown Birmingham. Harry was on duty as a police officer, and I was out with one of my friends. We stopped to ask for directions, and Harry kindly offered to let us follow him to our destination. Once we arrived, we started chatting outside, exchanged numbers, and before leaving he told us to be safe. We texted for a while, but eventually, life got busy and the conversation faded. Years later, after hearing about the passing of his mother, I reached out to check on him. Some time after that, Harry posted something about Birmingham that caught my attention, and I started another conversation. From there, our connection grew stronger. We began talking more, went on several dates, and before long, we knew this was something special. After dating for a while, Harry asked me to marry him—and of course, I said yes!
