We recommend exchanging some cash to Vietnamese đồng (VND), as many places only take cash. While hotels and larger establishments accept debit/credit cards, having VND on hand will make things much easier. You can exchange money at the airport, local banks like Vietcombank, BIDV or ATMs, which are also widely available if you prefer to withdraw directly.
