Taylor and Jenny first met through work. One of Jenny's students at Craig was one of Taylor's football players for Mound City and they had conversed many times about that. Later down the road, Jenny noticed Taylor was single while she was swiping along on a dating app. She swiped right (and he had already swiped right) and they matched! Don’t let that fool you, it was not “then the rest was history”. On day 9 of Taylor not replying to Jenny's initial message, she decided to remind him she existed in a different manner. She sent him a very professional school email expressing some things she was wanting to do at Craig but she needed some information from him to do so. Threads and threads of emails later, they exchanged numbers. Right after, Taylor sent Jenny a "here's my number too, just in case" text. That text (and the MANY others after) led us to where we are today!

March 2021, Taylor and Jenny took a weekend getaway to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Saturday, March 13, Taylor and Jenny did a variety of activities before the big surprise. Their day consisted of getting coffee at Shades of Brown, getting a couples massage at Omni Oasis, ate lunch at the delicious Bohemian Pizzeria, played mini-golf at the All-Star Sports Complex (where he ORIGINALLY planned to pop the question) followed by a walk through The Gathering Place recreation area. The Big Moment: After making a loop through The Gathering Place, they decided to start heading back to their Airbnb. After snapping a couple of selfies, Taylor grabbed Jenny's hands and hugged her. He started rambling about his feelings towards Jenny. She thought this was odd for him to say in public but she went with it. He then put his hand in his pocket, pulled out the ring, and got down on one knee. After a thousand "wait, what?!" from Jenny, she finally said, "Thank you!". Then once she was no longer in shock, she said YASSSSS!
