Proposal at Fort Walton Beach, FL

How We Met

10.13.21

I was at home watching The Titanic with my sister, Nina, when my friend, Anesa, texted me asking if I could drive her to work. While I was driving her, her sister, Tina, invited me to hang out at her house as she had some friends coming over. I agreed, and upon entering her house, I met her two friends, Johnny and Zach. We all sat at the kitchen table, engaging in conversation for hours. At one point, when I returned from the bathroom, Johnny had taken Tina’s seat next to me. We immediately started talking about anything and everything and remained inseparable for the rest of the evening. Since that night, we have spent every possible moment together. Our first date was at Longhorn Steakhouse, followed by watching Halloween Kills at the Franklin Square Cinema. He asked me to be his girlfriend outside my house on October 28th, 2021.

The Proposal

7.27.23

I remember the first time I looked at rings. I had just moved to Texas and was beyond excited. It didn’t feel real. There was one certain ring that caught my eye, exactly the one she had described she wanted. I fell in love with it too. I looked at all kinds of websites trying to find the exact same one, and I did. I customized it to make it even more special. So, the ring came easy. It was only then, now that the ring was found, how I was going to get down on one knee and ask her to spend the rest of her life with me. After I had moved back to Kentucky from living in Texas for what seemed like forever, my family had invited me to go fishing with them, and after, we had gone out to eat. Kendra had given me the idea to do it at the beach since we were already all going there for vacation. I had always dreamed of proposing on the beach, and it made me so happy that my dreams were coming true. The day of the proposal, I was a little nervous, but I knew that I wanted this. I had thought long and hard and was extremely excited. Asking her to marry me was the best decision of my entire life.
