Facebook says we have been friends since December of 2017 but in 2018 Cody messaged me and told me that I was beautiful in which I replied with "You need to go see a doctor". And that was it for about a year and a half. He would occasionally like my photos here and there and I would reply to his snaps of Lucy. We starting talking regularly in February of 2019. I may have stood him up once or twice. I wasn't ready for anything he had to offer. I didn't want what he wanted. I wanted to be left alone to raise my two beautiful children, but he was very persistent. I was closing on my house when I needed to find somewhere to live for three weeks until I got the keys. He offered us his extra room with open arms. He even moved his own bed in our room so that I didn't have to move stuff in. This guy slept on the floor that whole time. It was finally time for us to leave and he asked us to stay. I said no way, but he wasn't giving up. "Then I'm moving in with you." I'm serious when I say this guy was NOT giving up. Then I did it. I made what many would think was a stupid decision. I thought it was a stupid decision. We sold the house that I never lived in. There we were. Living together. Not really knowing each other but we became best friends. We started to fall in love. Cody fell in love with my children and became a dad he never knew he could be. We welcomed a child of our own in July of 2020. And there you have it, two best friends raising our three best friends. We might not have everything together but together we have everything.
