Light Rail Transit

If you're flying to the Twin Cities for the wedding, you don't need to take public transit or rent a car to get to the hotel or wedding venue. But if you want to explore downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul, University Avenue, or the Mall of America while you're here, you can get there by light rail! Light rail trains run every 10 minutes throughout the day, every 10-15 minutes evenings and every 30-60 minutes overnight. From the airport, trains can take you to Mall of America in about 12 minutes and to the Warehouse District in downtown Minneapolis in about 25 minutes. Tickets are sold at ticket machines at the rail stations and charge the same fares as local buses. For more information, visit the Metro Transit website, www.metrotransit.org/light-rail.
