Big Sky is only one hour from Yellowstone National Park. Check it out if you've never been. Firehole Loop is a nice drive inside the park--you'll see it all! In the summer it's best to go early in the AM or later in the PM to see the animals. Pack a lunch or go to the taco truck or Wild West Pizza in West Yellowstone--both delicious and cheap!
Norris Hot Springs is one of Spencer and I's favorite hot springs in Montana. It's an hour and a half from Big Sky, but worth the drive. Inexpensive, good food and beverages, and hot!
The best independently owned theater! This is where Spencer and I met. We love the owners dearly and we love going to the movies.

Although it's a little pricey, go before June 21 for the value season rate. We ski and snowboard 300 degrees around the top of Lone Peak, taking the Lone Peak Tram to the top. You can see Idaho and Wyoming from 11,166 feet. It's spectacular!
