Landon and Madi both worked at the same store. Madi had been crushing on him for a while, but never quite had the courage to talk to him until they had to do inventory together. For a whole week, the two of them were stuck in a scissor lift counting product. Naturally, they got to know each other and began making plans outside of work. The more time they spent together, the stronger their feelings for each other became and, after several months, they made it "official" and began dating.
There is a place Madi and Landon frequent pretty regularly. It's a swampy hike out to a large, rocky hill called Craft Island. It overlooks a sandy beach with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Landon had made plans with Madi to go out there that day and, since this was something they did normally, she thought nothing of it. As they made their way out to the island, Landon suggested the two of them take the more challenging path... to Madi's dismay. In fact, he practically had to beg her to go that way, which she begrudgingly accepted. After the difficult climb (and falling a couple times), they made it to the top. As Madi looked over to the ocean, written in the sand were the words "Madison, will you marry me?" She turned around and, to her surprise, Landon was on his knee with a ring. "Just like the climb up the hill, there's going to be challenges we'll face, and I want to go through them with you. Will you marry me?"
