We’re getting married!

Dustin and I met in April of 2017. He came into the restaurant that I work at (Blue 32) in search for, of all things, Ahi tuna. The other Blue 32 that he was at had run out and so he grabbed another Uber and headed to the store that I work at. I was supposed to be at Country Thunder that night but decided to work one more shift before I went. I remember seeing Dustin walk in and somehow knew he was the one who called asking for the Ahi. For those of you who know Dustin, you know that when he wants something, he gets it. He walked into that restaurant with so much intent. I remember saying "you must be Dustin" and he replied with "Yeah.. Do you want to arm wrestle?". Such elegance. Hah. He flirted with me all night, even after I told him I had a boyfriend at the time. Before he left, he signed his check, pushed it forward and said "this is for when you and your boyfriend break up" and sure enough, his phone number was at the bottom. It took me until the end of October, yes 7 months later, to finally send him a text. Our first date, we went and got coffee together at The Coffee Shop and then went and worked out, where he would be happy to tell you that he beat me in the workout. I didn't think that a man that big could run very well. I was wrong. We had hung out a few more times until our second "date" where we ran a half marathon together. That was the first time I met his daughter, Taylor. We both wanted to take things very slow with Taylor for obvious reasons. I remeber telling him that I didn't want to fall in love with his daughter before falling in love with him. It didn't take long for me to realize I love them both! In December, Dustin and I went on our first trip together to Mexico (sorry mom) for Dustin's birthday where he told me that he loved me. We got engaged in November of 2020 and can't wait for this new chapter as husband and wife!
