We can't wait to celebrate with you!

I can honestly say I was SHOCKED when Jon proposed. First off, it was a Monday. Who proposes on a Monday?! We go on dates pretty frequently so that's all I thought it was. The funniest part is that when we got in the car to go to dinner, Jon started a playlist he'd made for the evening and when the first song started playing I looked at him and said, "Are you proposing today?". He played it off by sarcastically saying, "Yeah, I'm proposing today" and rolling his eyes ha. I didn't think twice about it as he quickly changed the playlist! After dinner he said he had a surprise. We drove down to Whitetail Woods in Farmington and he explained that he wanted to show me the wildflowers because he knew how much I loved them. When we started walking, I noticed a picnic blanket with a bottle of champagne and a record player. I STILL had no idea and said "Is this for us?!" and then I saw the ring box. I was so shocked and honestly don't remember anything he said so I'm thankful he had it all written down haha. He had my two best friends there to celebrate and capture it all happen. After that, he threw a surprise engagement party with our family and friends. He's the most thoughtful, intentional, kind man and it was easy to say yes to becoming his wife.

Exactly 7 months later, on February 26, 2022 we got married in Keene, California! Since I, Hayley, am a wedding photographer, I always dreamed of doing a destination wedding and we love to travel. We looked all over the country but decided on California for two main reasons. One, we knew we wanted to be in the mountains. Two, when Jon was in the military he was stationed in California for a few years, so it feels like a home away from home to us. We were surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, our immediate family and bridal party as we said I do.
