We're Getting Married!

We met back in 2017 while we were both in the military. I was stationed in Las Vegas and he was stationed in Tucson. We both went to a facility in Phoenix to better ourselves and met unexpectedly there. We knew right away that we were going to see each other no matter what when we were done there and we did. He left Phoenix before I did but we talked on the phone multiple times a day everyday til I left. We saw each other probably every two weeks for a long time and then I got out of the military in 2018 and moved back to Montana. We both continued on with our lives and reconnected in 2019. Once we reconnected we knew this was it and decided I should finish my semester of school in Tucson and moved down to start our life together.

He went to warriors on the water in Montana for a fishing trip, Warriors on the Water, for a week. I was already secretly hoping he was going to ask my dad for his permission and apparently that was his plan. While he was up there and he was with my dad and brother he asked my dad "permission", which I loved that he did because he knows how important my dad is to me. The day after he got home from the trip, him and Gavyn went shopping while I had an appointment and then said we wanted to go grab dinner at yard house on the riverwalk. When we got to the restaurant and we were getting out of the car and it was taking them what seemed like forever and as I walked around the car Gavyn was there holding the ring and I looked at Chris who started talking and as soon as he got emotional and asked me if I would marry him, I lost it and started crying. Obviously I said YES without hesitation and then continued to give him a hard time that now I was going to the restaurant after crying. haha However, we did get a free dessert!
