Maid of Honor

I was forever changed when Sharon came into my life. She was born and my heart was bound to her. I love and cherish my best friend that I was gifted. She is fiery about her passions and always wears her emotions on her sleeve. I am thankful that she found Hunter, who shares the same passionate and eccentric energy. Ever since I met Hunter, I considered him to be my giant honorary sibling. There are too many memories, stories, and inside jokes to share in such few words. I can’t wait to witness and be a part of celebrating this new chapter in their lives.

Matthieu 'Ay Matty' Retherford

Best Man

As an older brother, one feels a sense of duty to teach the younger sibling how to navigate life. We didn't have the easiest childhood. Hunter did not like to share, EVEN FOOD. A lesson I hope Hunter learns from marriage is TO SHARE. Just because a person wants to share something with another, it does not mean that person is robbing you of your identity. Hunter has taught me to slow down and think. Sometimes the first thought isn't always the correct answer. He has taught me about love and that it takes many forms. I am so PROUD to call you my brother. Watching your journey to becoming a man, it is such a gift to be your brother. I LOVE you and Sharon and I am honored to continue to watch you create the man you want to be. I love you Hunt-Man. Always and forever my brother you will be.

First off, her name’s Oppie, don’t wear it out! We’ve known each other for the better part of our lives, and in the past years we’ve only gotten closer and closer. Sharon’s my sister not by blood, but by love and faith. She’s somehow both my ate (older sister) and my little potato pal. From French bakery stops and crafting days to afternoons of matcha caramel frappuccinos... she’s been a constant in my life and I’m grateful to be one of her best friends. My favorite memories with her are all the times I saw her spaz out over manta rays and cats. Moments like those made me realize that when she loves something, she truly loves with all her heart. We’ve had talks about life and love again and again, and I’m so flippin’ happy to finally see my two closest friends tie the knot!

Well, maaaannnnyyy decades ago I met Hunter at college. We started playing random online games, and one night he got me back into Magic. I'm pretty sure I'm undefeated against him, and if he says otherwise he is just trying to save face. Seriously. Like 425-0. It's an infinite K/D ratio. Oh, I met Sharon there as well. Pretty sure I'm like 0-18 against her. But that's definitely not interesting to talk about. Not as interesting as CRUSHING Hunter at every opportunity.

Ate Sharon has always watched over me ever since I was little, and growing up with her has been such a blessing! She’s always kept up on me even when I was away and I can’t thank her enough for being that caring to me. A memory that especially sticks with me was when I went to her college class and took notes with her. My high-school-freshman self had no room being there! She always made sure I was included even though I was too young to understand things, haha. Glad I could be a part of her big day!

It was probably a Tuesday, but all I remember is being kidnapped by a giant bear one day. Turns out that bear was Hunter and it changed my life forever. Hunter has been a joy to have in my life and when Sharon entered the picture it was nothing short of awesome. Watching them grow together as a couple has been great and I can't wait to celebrate their next chapter!

Ate Sharon and Kuya Hunter were the first ones I met when I moved to Vista and I can safely say that they have been nothing but welcoming, making sure i’m always taken care of. Out of all the MANY things they’ve done for me, my top favorite will always be coming home to a bag of hot cheetos with one lime to drizzle on top 🥵 They are one of the most comforting, sentimental, and sweetest human beings I’ve ever met and I CANNOT believe I get to walk in their presence on their wedding day?!?!?! Love them both so much, but don’t tell Hunter I said that. xoxo xo

Groomsman

Looking back, it’s pretty funny how my friendship with Hunter started: with him passed-out, snoring and me nearly passing-out trying to wake him up. Then again, context would be helpful, wouldn’t it? We both decided to try a pretty harsh CrossFit workout even though we hadn’t had much to eat for breakfast and we paid the price! What did I learn? If you want to have a super-amazing-awesome friend like Hunter, you don’t need to look far. Someone like him will be sure to make light of any situation and find a reason to laugh and smile. Just note that I said, “like him”, because there’s only ONE of him in this entire world, and I’m glad I’ve met him and met him the way that I did.

'Haaave you met Sharon?' - what sounds like a cheesy pick-up line is literally how we met. Mutual friends would always tell us that we remind them of each other, that we have similar interests, and that if we ever met we would probably be good friends. Fast forward a few years later, we finally got to meet in person. From Final Fantasy to love of good food and Anime Club, I can confirm we have the same interests, are very similar, and am proud to say we have become good friends. I'm so happy that we met, and honored to be part of this big day!

Anthony 'Tiby' Jereza

Groomsman

My real name is Toby Magwubbers but they usually call me Tiby or Tibbs. I remember meeting Sharon at bowling practice playing Phoenix Wright. We started talking about the game and found we had very many interests in common. She is one of the few friends I have kept over the years. Ever since Hunter and Sharon have been together I've been the "third wheel" many a times but with them it never felt that way. Whether it was watching movies, going to activities, eating delicious food, or playing video games I always felt at home with them. Hunter and I have a loose tradition of eating ice cream or some kind of dessert after eating because we have a second stomach for desserts. We also share a love of card games. We've all been waiting for this time to come and I'm proud to be a part of it!
