How we met: Paul and I went to high school together, but we actually never talked a single time while we were there. Paul had actually messaged me on facebook back in the spring of 2016, but I was in another relationship and I totally ignored his message. Flash forward to December, I decided to message Paul back on facebook. He immediately messaged me back, and we went on our first date the day after my birthday, which is the 21st of December. He took me to Chili’s, where I took forever to order because I had never been to Chili’s, and then we went to Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl to go bowling. I completely kicked his butt in all three games that we played and he was super embarrassed. We began going on more dates after I went back to school, and on January 27th of 2017 Paul asked me to be his girlfriend. How he proposed: On November 11th of 2018, Paul decided to take me to Max Patch in North Carolina. We had been to Max Patch three or four times before to go hiking and picnicking. I just assumed that we were going to do the same thing on this trip as well, but I noticed that Paul was acting a little weird. He seemed to be extremely nervous, his hands were super sweaty and he was constantly texting his best man, Daniel Rowland. I knew he was up to something, but I had no clue he was going to propose. When we arrived at Max Patch and climbed to the top of the hill, I began to take pictures of the beautiful views. Paul kept moving me around to get different pictures of the mountains, or so I thought. Little did I know, he had planned to have Daniel and his fiance Kimmy, waiting on us to take a video and pictures of Paul asking me to marry him. As I was taking pictures, Paul put his arm around me, and in a really shaky voice told me that he had something to ask me. He then got down on one knee and began to tell me how much I meant to him, and then popped the question! I of course said yes, and then turned around to see Daniel and Kimmy taking pictures and a video!
