Matt and Leeann’s story began in the little coastal town of Swansboro in 2016. They hung out at the same places, had mutual friends, but it wasn’t until Leeann accepted a position at the company where Matt worked, that they finally said hello to each other. Well…Leeann said hello and Matt nodded without a word. Leeann thought he was rude, while Matt knew he had just met his wife. Naturally, they spent a lot of time at work together and developed a friendship through discovering shared interests and hobbies. All things ocean, cooking, dogs, boating, and travel. That friendship stemmed into a relationship and it has been a non stop adventure ever since. They say you truly do not know someone until you travel with them, and even after multiple trips across the world together, Matt was not deterred. In March of 2020, Matt got down on one knee (sweating and shaking) in Saint Lucia and asked Leeann to marry him. She said yes...obviously.
