It was the summer before Sarah's freshman year of high school and Sophomore year for Ryan. Sarah was with her best friends and Sarah received a random Facebook message from a guy named Ryan Marcoux. Sarah wouldn’t find out till years later that Ryan was trying to be the ultimate 2009 wingman and help his friend who was too “shy” to message a girl he had his eye on (so high school right?). Ryan ended up messaging Sarah thinking it was the girl for his friend but in return realized Sarah wasn’t the girl he was supposed to be helping his friend talk to, so Ryan dropped the best flirty line he could at 15. “Hey do I know you; you are pretty?” February 2010 Sarah and Ryan consistently talked on the phone/texted and would see each other in the halls. They were both active in sports and would attend each other’s games but never could find time to hang out together. Valentine’s Day of 2010 was the first time they actually hung out together. They both were unaware it was Valentine’s day and the irony of it. May 2010 Sarah’s friends were constantly asking Ryan when he was going to officially ask Sarah to be his girlfriend. Ryan would answer with “Chill, don’t rush me.” Ryan was in electric class and Sarah was in word processing class. Ryan texted Sarah and said something like “Hey meet me down near the stairs I have something for you”. This wasn’t abnormal since they would leave class together sometimes and wander the halls together during their elective classes. This day, was different though. May 4th 2010 Ryan asked Sarah officially to be his girlfriend. Together, they went to four proms, three graduations, two separate colleges, cross country move, and just life in general. Now, 10 years later those high school kids are still going strong, still laughing, smiling and growing together with their puppy Sandy!
