Matt and I met on a Friday night after he dropped off his boys from having them that summer. My best friend Dorothy just left for Minot and with the fun schedule of a missillier (crazy schedule) I had that Friday night off but had no one to go out on the town with so I decided to just go out on my own. Friday night was not my normal karoake night so I went to Scooters bar for the first time, ever...Matt was finally feeling ready to meet someone after his divorce and I was praying that God would just put someone in my path as I was done trying the online dating thing. I saw him across the room and he kept catching my eye as I thought he kinda looked like my boy Aaron Rodgers! Matt admitted later that he just couldn't take his eyes off me and if he didn't have some dutch courage that night we might not have ever met. I picked a song that I never sing at Karoake too. "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer...a Christian band but that is probably their most secular song and also the most popular one since it was on the soundtrack of a movie. Matt surprised me by knowing the words and we kissed...it was a pretty magical night really.
