Our first date was nothing short of magic. We took a couple paddle boards out to Lady Bird Lake, heading toward a tucked-away freshwater spring—a hidden gem only a lucky few know about. We launched from Red Bud Isle Park and spent hours floating, laughing, and talking non-stop. From the very beginning, we clicked in a way that felt rare and effortless. But the magic didn’t stop there. Our day turned into night with stops at a few of Austin’s iconic staples—Deep Eddy Cabaret and Pool Burger (because what’s better than a dive bar, burgers, and a cold drink after a lake day?). The entire date lasted over 12 hours… and honestly, even that didn’t feel like enough. That instant connection quickly turned into daily adventures, endless laughter, and a love that only keeps growing. Fast forward to the proposal—right back where it all began. Hunter planned a walk with our sweet pup Luna at Red Bud Isle, the place where our story started. Along the trail, we paused to read handwritten notes reflecting on our favorite memories and milestones together. On note #10, Hunter dropped to one knee and asked Rebecca to be his forever.
