Our story began in 2022 at Edinboro University in Erie, PA — but really, it started with a friend request. I saw Hunter on social media. He played football for Edinboro, and I thought he was SO cute! I decided to send him a friend request, and before long we were Snapchatting (because that was definitely the thing to do at the time). What started as simple conversations quickly turned into something more. Then came the flat tire — the moment that changed everything. One day, I was driving to the gym and got a flat tire. Of course. While other people couldn’t come help, Hunter dropped everything and came to the rescue! I’ll never forget the feeling when he showed up. There was something about the way he helped me replace that tire. He was so calm, caring, and completely selfless. I’m so thankful for that flat tire because it truly began our love story. Our first date was mini golf (if you know us, that makes perfect sense). We met at the end of the semester, right before heading home for the summer. Even with the distance, we made time for each other. When we were home, he met my parents and the rest of my family pretty quickly — and they all fell in love with him instantly. If you know Hunter, you know he’s the most personable and genuine person you’ll ever meet. Our dates were filled with trying out different golf courses, our favorite dinner spot at Narcisi Winery, double dates with friends, time with our families, trips into Pittsburgh, and country concerts. On May 11th 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I’ll never forget how special that day felt. He told me a few days later he loved me at Carnivores Bar & Restaurant in Oakmont, PA and it’s a memory I’ll always hold close to my heart. Over the past three years, we’ve built a life full of laughter, love, and so many unforgettable memories. On April 11th 2025, we took a trip to Walt Disney World! While we were in Epcot watching the fireworks, Hunter got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the most magical moment of my life, and I will never forget how I felt in that instant. Now, on February 26th 2027, we will stand in front of our closest friends and family and promise forever to each other. I cannot wait to marry my best friend and celebrate the beginning of our next chapter as husband and wife. The best is truly yet to come.
