(Taylor & Hunter's version)

TAYLOR: I was nervous and felt like I wasn’t qualified enough to be shadowing at the gym. Hunter spent so much time talking to me and making me feel comfortable. He encouraged me and made me feel like I knew more than I realized, even though I was brand new to the field. I remember walking away from my first day thinking about how kind he was, and feeling like I knew him from somewhere, but I couldn’t place where. HUNTER: Of course when I first saw her, I couldn't believe someone that beautiful had walked into our little gym. As we spoke more throughout the day I realized more and more that she wasn't just beautiful, but someone I'd want to spend a lot of time around. Someone kind, genuine, and really excited about life and a fun person. Someone I was excited about who I could use more of in my life.

TAYLOR: In my first few weeks working at the gym, I didn’t have much to do so my boss put me in charge of putting together an IKEA cubby. I was sitting in the office alone putting together the final piece when Hunter came in and gently informed me that I had put a major piece on backwards. He told me to wait there, and came back a few minutes later with powertools. We sat on the floor together for the next hour and fixed it, and it was possibly the best time I’ve had putting together furniture. HUNTER: I would say that from the get go I knew that we would be close and good friends. With that being said, I think I started to realize that she would play a larger role in my life when people started to tell me how different I was acting after we started spending time together. More at ease, more patient, and in general a better and more enjoyable person to be around. I knew how much I enjoyed having her around, but I didn't realize how much better she made just regular day to day life for me.

TAYLOR: There’s a few people I’d like to thank for bringing us together. Hunter’s dad for one: I had suspected that Hunter liked me, and his Dad might have confirmed it. A few days after Hunter went on a hunting trip with his dad (whom I had never met), I saw that his dad had followed me on instagram, which was a funny and memorable moment. Our friend Ashley was another: she had a heart to heart with me about what I deserved out of a relationship. She told me that I deserved a fairytale kind of love, and I took that advice to heart, which is how I ended up with Hunter. Last but not least, I’d like to thank our gym dog, Bean, who was one of the main reasons I applied to work at the gym in the first place. HUNTER: This is where we have to thank our coworkers at the gym. While we were trying to figure out how to navigate a workplace relationship, everyone was either supportive or pretended like they didn't notice what was going on while we figured it out. When we eventually told everyone, they laughed at us and said they'd known all along. Iman claimed he'd known "since we first said hi"

TAYLOR: There’s so many things. Hunter is one of the most thoughtful people I know, and he really listens to everything. He is always paying attention to what I say, how I’m feeling, and overall just looks out for me. He is also the kind of person who instinctively does the right thing, no matter how inconvenient it is. I knew before we even started dating that he was the kind of person I could call if I ever really needed help, knowing that he’d answer and be there. HUNTER: While not loving to be the center of attention, especially in large groups, Taylor is one of the most outgoing and fun people I've ever met. If you're lucky enough to be one of the people she opens up that energy with, you're gonna have a ton of fun.... just be ready for more energy and fun than you thought possible.

TAYLOR: Since meeting Hunter I am braver, more outgoing, and I feel like I experience more life. I used to orbit around the same 24 hour routine, afraid to try new things or put myself out there. Hunter makes me feel so safe and supported, and because of this I’ve had the confidence to do so many things that I would have otherwise missed out on, like competing in powerlifting. HUNTER: I don't know that there's enough room here to describe how much I've changed throughout our relationship. Her love and support has made me calmer, more patient, kinder, and just better equipped to handle anything that life throws at me. She makes the happy times happier and the sadder times easier to manage. The boring times fun and the exciting times even more thrilling.

TAYLOR: Waking up in the morning with Hunter smiling at me and knowing that whatever the day brings, I’ll have him by my side. I used to wake up every morning anxious and afraid of the day, and I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt like that. HUNTER: Taylor greets me like a puppy every time I get home from work, the grocery store, anywhere. It could've been 12 hours or 12 minutes, she's always running to the door to greet me and tell me how excited she is that I'm home.
