For all you Vols fans- we met at OCI (RIP) in Knoxville on Alabama weekend in 2011. Although UT lost per usual, we were in good spirits. Or we were just drinking the loss away. I was a young Junior in college and Hunter was an old fifth year finishing his final lap. He bought me a drink and I was immediately head over heels. Although we drifted apart after college, we found our way back to each other about 5 years ago. Hunter moved to Denver and I was adamant that I would not leave the state of Tennessee. Well...1 year later...I caved and moved to Denver. It was the best decision I could have ever made. Now we own a home together with our 80 pound fur baby Marshmellow. Thank you OCI for always providing big gulps, cheese bings, and my future husband!
We went on a cruise with about 15 of my family members. Our first stop was Cocoa Cay in the Bahamas where we were hanging out at the water slide park the majority of the day. I was naturally basking in the sunlight and Hunter was going down every water slide he could. I now know it was because he was so nervous. He said he wanted to take a new Facebook profile pic (he never wants to take photos) so I got really excited he wanted to take a picture. He chose for us to stand on top of the coral reef and pointed for me to look at a "jumping dolphin". When I tuned back around he was down on one knee. I was very disappointed there weren't any dolphins but getting engaged to the love of my life was a much better alternative!!!! If anyone is wondering- Hunter's knees have fully recovered from the rocky coral reef.
