While Hunter was busy keeping Reid's "surprise" birthday drive-by a secret, Reid was keeping one of his own. On August 1, 2020, Reid threw a party for his 24th birthday, having friends and his family up for the afternoon. Hunter was in charge of getting her family to drive by to sing happy birthday to him as a surprise (of course though, Reid knew about it). When the time came, Hunter walked Reid up to top of his driveway where both their families and friends gathered to sing. Thinking all the surprises were done, Hunter started to walk away when the singing ended; little did she know what was about to happen! She turned back around and saw Reid kneeling down on one knee, smiling up at her, asking her to marry him. Needless to say, surrounded by their loved ones on a beautiful day, it was perfect! :)

Fall of 10th grade, in 2012, Reid messaged Hunter for the first time: "Hey it's Reid :)". Adorable, huh? They spent months talking and hanging out. That was the era of the Hot tub Hunnies... long story. This build up continued through countless classes together; Reid and Hunter actually shared the same desk for Biology class, just in different periods of the day. Reid had class first, and would leave Hunter notes taped under the desk for her to find when she had class later in the day (you could say she learned a lot about the game of basketball). Reid FINALLY asked Hunter to be his girl on March 29th, 2013, when he walked her up to her front door and kissed her goodnight. What a great night! Since then, it's been the greatest journey ever. :)
