03.20.17 Rachel's Version: We first met at our school, Cairn University. We were in the similar freshman programs that just so happened to spend lot of time together! We met at some point in the first week, but honestly I don't really remember meeting him for the first time, we just started to spend time together with a lot of our friends. One night we were walking back to our dorms (which were right next to each other), I said "night" and I turned the corner to walk to my dorm. Then I heard Hunter yell, "Hey!" I spun around, and he all of a sudden looked extremely nervous. "Would you want to go to breakfast on Monday?" I froze and just stared back at him (that was the last thing I thought he'd ask. Definitely figured he needed notes from class or something like that). Finally I said, "uhh... can I let you know?" He looked defeated and said "uh, yeah sure" A few days later he asked "So, what are you thinking about Monday?" I said, "let's do it." After that morning at breakfast (the most awkward meal ever haha), I had such a sense of peace and I knew he was different than any guy I had ever dated before. And after that morning, I was hooked.
07.05.19 Hunter surprised me (Rachel) by showing up at my house (over 2 hours away!), after I had gotten off work for the week. He told me we were going back toward his house, and to dress like we were going on a date. We drove back to his house, and he asked if I wanted to go on a walk to see the sunset. I didn’t suspect anything (like at all!), because we love to go see sunsets! We drove to a farm and started walking. He all of a sudden got really nervous which I found odd, but we just continued to walk hand in hand. We turned a corner, and he had set up a bunch of logs with flowers and mason jars with lights in them. He got down on one knee and popped the question! I of course said yes!
