Where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will take place at The Vineyards at Betty's Creek in Sylva, North Carolina.

When is the wedding?

Answer

November 26th, 2022. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm.

Whats the wedding day timeline?

Answer

Ceremony 4:00 pm (sunset is approximately 5:20pm this time of year) Cocktail Hour 5:00 pm Dinner 6:00 pm Cake Cutting 8:45 pm Bride and Groom Sparkler Send Off 9:30

Where can we stay if we come from out of town?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at The Comfort Inn and Suites in Sylva, NC for Friday and Saturday, November 25th and 26th, 2022. BE SURE TO MENTION THE DECHAMPLAIN LEMMONS WEDDING to get the block rate for your room. Price is locked at $127.08 Check in 3:00 pm Check out 12:00 pm 1235 E Main Street, Sylva, NC, 28779 828-477-4950 AirBnB is also available in the area as well. There are also the hotels Best Western and Holiday Inn in Sylva, Dillsboro, and Waynesville.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors but under a covered reception pavilion. The reception will take place at the Event Pavilion, which has an entire open wall with fabric panels that can open and close for inclement weather.

Is the reception at a secondary location?

Answer

No, the reception will only be a few steps from the ceremony site.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom will step away for photos and signing of marriage certificate while guests will gather for cocktail hour at the event pavilion.

What is the attire?

Answer

Black Tie! (Men please wear dinner jacket and matching dress pants, a pleated white shirt, bow tie, and dress shoes) (Women: PLEASE wear floor length dresses in a heavier material, as it is late November in the North Carolina mountains. The ceremony is semioutdoors, and reception venue is partially open space)

What should I do if I can't attend the wedding?

Answer

Please know we will miss you being there, but we understand it is a holiday weekend! Please RSVP "no", or contact Leland or Hunter as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

What about parking at the venue?

Answer

Due to limited parking space at the venue, Leland and I plan to try to coordinate carpooling from the hotel.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we love love, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Where do I RSVP, and by when do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

You can RSVP here on our Zola website, or by contacting Leland or Hunter! We ask that you please RSVP by November 1st.

Can I take pictures of the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We have hired a professional photographer and videographer for our ceremony and reception. The ceremony is STRICTLY unplugged. If it has a battery, we ask you either leave it in your purse/pocket or in the car. We welcome guests to take pictures on their personal devices at the reception, just please remember to be conscious of our photographer and videographer!

I have dietary restrictions, how do I let you know?

Answer

You can reach out via text to Leland or Hunter to let us know of your dietary needs!

What is the weather like at the venue?

Answer

We expect the weather to be anywhere from 50° to 30°. The ceremony is partially outdoors so please wear appropriate attire (heavy shawls, wraps, floor length dresses, etc.).

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Following the ceremony, the bar will be open to guests!

Question

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is gift enough for us! But should you need to bring a gift or a card, a table and drop box for cards will be provided to place any gifts our guests bring.
