Long before they officially met, they were being pushed together. It all started in 2012 with a few facebook pokes from Hunter. Unfortunately, this attempt was immediately shut down with a short, rude message saying, "Please stop poking me" from Kaylee. Beth, Hunter's mom, even knew of their destiny before the two of them. While working at Distinctive-Decor, Kaylee's high school job, Beth had the idea for the two to meet. Unfortunately, again, this attempt did not follow through due to Kaylee already having a boyfriend. Fast forward to 2017. Kaylee was out with her best friend, Kelsey Bridges, and sorority big, Kelsey Ray. The three girls ran into a high school friend of Kaylee and Kelsey B.'s, Allyson. After a catch up conversation, Allyson returned to her seat with her boyfriend, Logan, and his two friends, Hunter and Seth. Roughly 5 minutes later, Kaylee received one memorable text message from Allyson saying, "Logan's friends want y'all to come sit with us." It was this night that Hunter and Kaylee exchanged snapchat information. Around a month later, on April 20th, the two had their first date at Empire Slice House.

Let's be honest, Kaylee was hesitant when they first met. He was very persistent which led to success on him receiving a date with her. But, it wasn't until after his unsuccessful journey to the Territory, at her request for him to play golf on a day she was scheduled as the beverage cart girl, that she realized how much she liked him. We call this an unsuccessful journey because Hunter was in a wreck. Thankfully he wasn't hurt too bad, but her concern for him blew everyone else out of the water. This wasn't when she knew he was the one though. It was all of Hunter's gestures that made her fall in love. For example, one time her car was making funny noises and she called Hunter to ask for advice. Five minutes later, he called with several quotes and appointments at near by mechanic shops. Another time, as she was preparing to leave for her mission trip in Peru, she received a text message at four in the morning from Hunter because he was afraid this was the last time they'd get to talk before she left for her international travels. In addition to that, Hunter offered to pick Kaylee up from the airport after a trip to Italy. She was warmly greeted by him with flowers and a watermelon with a cute phrase saying "You're one in a melon" (while on the trip she mentioned she was craving watermelon). These are only a few examples, but it didn't take many more of these gestures for her to realize she had found the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

March 31st of 2017 was one of the best nights of Hunter's life. On this night he met the girl of his dreams, Kaylee. Hunter knew Kaylee was the girl for him after she shared stories with him about her mission trip to Peru. The story that really stood out to Hunter was one about a little boy who was shamed in his village for being mentally and physically challenged, no one would care for the child or his mother. In Kaylee's eyes, this child stood out the most and she did everything to make sure his family was provided the best care. Another time that reassured his feelings for Kaylee was after their hiking trip that took a turn for the south. They both encountered a snake and Hunter decided he would throw Kaylee at the snake and run. Kaylee was angry about this, but she stuck with him. Overall, it's Kaylee's kindness and willingness to help others that has touched Hunter's heart the most. Hunter cannot express how unbelievably blessed he is to have found a woman like Kaylee.
